Clinical Specialties

As a counselor in training, Taylor is exploring different therapeutic modalities and honing her counseling style. She is drawn to therapies like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which help clients develop a different relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than viewing themselves as something that needs to be fixed. With curiosity and compassion, Taylor brings curiosity to what lies beneath the expectations and messages we all absorb throughout our lives, helping clients explore and make space for what feels authentic and meaningful.

Taylor also brings warmth and playfulness to her work. She believes therapy is a place to better understand all parts of our lives, not just the ones that feel difficult or complex. Through that understanding, we can notice and then invite in more joy, connection, and

meaning.

About Me

My path to counseling has been far from direct. I grew up certain I would become a veterinarian, but life had other plans. I have worked in retail, studied primate behavior and conservation, and spent many years leading a university study abroad office.

Along the way, I've moved across the country multiple times, changed directions, started over, and learned there isn't one right path through life. Some of those changes were choices, while others meant figuring out what came next when the original plan no longer fit. What has stayed consistent is my curiosity about people, their experiences, and the different ways we find our way through the world.

Those experiences have also taught me that our lives don't have to follow the paths that we (or anyone else) thought they would. I'm drawn to counseling in part because it gives me the opportunity to sit alongside people as they make sense of their own unexpected turns, question the expectations they've carried with them, and discover what feels genuinely their own beneath all the noise.

When I’m not working or studying, I enjoy spending time with my partner, our pets, and friends. I love to garden, knit, cook, spend time in nature, and listen to a lot of audiobooks.
